A BIT ABOUT METROPLEX BNA

The National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) is comprised of 113 chapters spread over 33 states nationwide.The Metroplex Black Nurses requested affiliate chapter status with the National Black Nurses Association Inc. on February 24, 1999. In April 1999 the Metroplex Black Nurses Association was chartered with 23 members. The organization was incorporated on Nov 2004. Today, the Metroplex Black Nurses Association-Dallas, Inc. (MBNA) is a professional nursing organization composed of Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses and Nursing Students.

Doris Graves- Founding Member

It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of one of our founding members, Doris Graves. We greatly admired her dedication and service as a nurse at the VA. We are thankful for her contributions in establishing this chapter, and we will continue to honor her legacy.
